High Friction Surfacing or “Anti-Skid” as it is more commonly known is a colored, hot applied Thermoplastic road surfacing material designed to provide the user with color demarcation and excellent skid resistance.
High Friction Surfacing has been designed to provide a highly skid resistant colored surface for the heaviest duty applications such as the demarcation of bus lanes/bays, village gateways, pedestrian crossings, stopping areas at traffic lights and other traffic calming measures. The surface texture, combined with the use of PSV aggregates, provides HFS with the skid resistance properties normally only found in a dedicated high friction surfacing system.
